INSURED PATIENTS

INSURED PATIENTS

Mr Kim is recognised by all major insurers and regularly treat patients covered by medical insurance.

However, insurers’ tariff for Surgical consultations and surgery has not changed and in many instances insurers have reduced the fee they pay Surgeons in the last 15 to 20 years. The rates insurers pay is insufficient for the running of a high quality and responsive Surgical team with exceptional clinical standards (as evidenced by feedback from previous patients).

As a compromise, Mr Kim charges a co-payment or uplift (only for surgery, if surgery is required) which most of his previous patients consider very reasonable. It is significantly below the self-pay rate. It is recognition that patients pay high premiums for their private insurance, but wish to have their care under Mr Kim. Mr Kim and his office will advice you of this co-payment , and confirm it in writing before any proposed surgical procedures.

Please attend and discuss with Mr Kim and his team about this in more detail, either by phone or face to face appointment. We are happy to clarify any of the above via e mail if you prefer, before or after your attendance at consultations.
